Steps to Convert Batch OST File

Batch OST Converter makes it easy for users to convert several OST files into PST, MSG, EML & PDF. To make this process effective go through how it works section with real time screen shots and steps for batch OST Conversion.

STEP 1

Start » All Programs » SysTools Batch OST Converter » Prerequisite Check.

The main screen of the Batch OST Converter software can be previewed as shown below:

STEP 3

Add File

Click on Add file(s) to select an OST file to be converted.

A browse window will appear from where you can browse the PST file. After selecting the OST file to be converted, Click on Open.

Add Folder

Also, the software provides you with option to select "Add Folder". You can add folder containing OST files using this feature. Within this feature it provides you with 2 options:

  • Click on Add folder to select the folder having OST files.
  • Choose "Add CSV File" option to select the path of ost files present in different locations of your local system using CSV File.

A browse window will appear from where you can select the folder containing OST files. Select a particular folder and click on OK.

The selected OST file/folder will be added in the software panel. Click on Next button to choose export options.

STEP 5

Add CSV File

You can choose "Add CSV" which will automatically Load OST files location saved within the CSV File. You can Click on Sample CSV option to view the demo format of the CSV File.

Browse the destination location of the CSV File on your Local system from which you need to browse the OST File Location for number of file.

Select "OK" to load the specified csv into the software interface.

STEP 6

After loading Batch OST Files into the software interface, you can begin to export the file into various File formats.

A window showing multiple export options will appear. You can convert OST file to PST with following two options:

  • With Outlook : You can batch convert OST File to PST when Outlook environment is configured on your Local System

  • Without Outlook : You can batch convert OST to PST when Outlook environment is not configured on your Local System

You can choose the destination folder where the exported OST file will be stored.


STEP 8

After selecting the destination folder, Click on Convert button to begin the conversion process.

You can choose to Convert OST File to EML, MSG or PDF also as a resultant file format.

Note: If you choose one of these export options, then you can apply Naming Convention during the Conversion. This facility provides user to filter the exported file according to Subject, Date, From, AutoIncrement etc which allows user to search emails easily.

STEP 10

The Export Report Window shows the export process along with the number of emails, calenders, contacts, tasks, journals being exported.

After completion of export process, the following prompt showing "Export Process Completed Successfully" appears. Click OK to exit.

The report of file conversion process can be saved by clicking on Save Report buton.

After clicking on save report button, a browse window will appear where you can select desired storage location of the export report. Click on Save button to save export report as CSV File Format.

Now open the CSV File to find the location of location of exported PST File on your local system.

You can import the converted file into Outlook. Open Outlook » Open & Export » Open Outlook Data File.

Browse the PST file to be imported.
