- Type your custom email address and name to create an account.
- Complete the purchase checkout. After creating the account, Squarespace sends an email with a temporary password.
- Log in to the Google Admin Console and accept the terms. Create a new password.
- Domain verification and add MX records to the DNX settings.
Connect Existing Google Workspace Account to Squarespace
Users can connect their existing Google Workspace account. But it depends on how your Google account was originally created. If you have already purchased the subscription from Google or another provider. Just update the required DNS records in Squarespace domain settings. Here’s how you can do it.
- Open your site and log in to your Squarespace account.
- Navigate to the Website option and then Domain & Email.
- Click the Domain that you want to connect to Google Workspace.
- Select DNS, in DNS settings, find the Add Preset menu.
- Choose Google Workspace MX. Squarespace automatically provides the required MX records.
- Press the Save button. If the domain is newly added, verify the domain ownership.
- Sign in to Google Admin Console with Workspace admin account details.
- Follow the setup to verify the ownership. You can add a TXT record for verification.
- Go back to Squarespace DNS settings, click Add Record, and enter the details provided by Google.
Wait for 2 to 48 hours to take the changes fully effect. Once it happens, log in to Gmail. If the domain is already connected to an existing Google Workspace, avoid linking the same domain to Squarespace.
Transfer Emails to Squarespace Connected Google Workspace
