SysTools Software is a name that struggled like most startup companies during their initial days but did not let that come between, its road to success. Today this brandname represents India for being recognized as one of the top competitive software brands in the international market. ‘Make in India’ is an initiative towards promoting unrecognized talents in India that are successfully contributing to the bright future of the country. A lot of small and medium sized businesses fall behind the crowd of successful people not because they lack potential but because they lack opportunity and the right platform to showcase their talents. SysTools started with an aim to excel the field of Data Recovery (and did so) but it also gained great recognition through some of the unique cloud based solution that only a rare kind but it outshone the best and gained immense recognition with its internationally known and legally accepted pre-investigation tool; MailXaminer.

This is an extract from the interview with Anuraag Singh, Co-Founder and CEO, SysTools Software, and Debasish Pramanik, Co-Founder and CTO, SysTools Software.

India is technologically on a steady rise. But only a few have dared to enter the Digital Forensics. What made you make the move?

Anuraag: The radius of Digital Forensics is very vast but is also one of the most promising industries in the market today. According to our analysis, we believe that the arena clearly offers a boundless scope for its new as well as old players. Digital forensics is amongst the very few segments that has direct a correlation with technological advancements. Each and every technology that arrives fresh into the market also brings forth new challenges for the world of cyber forensics along with it. This in turn leads to the agitation of comprehending technology from the forensics point of view to eventually propose a solution for the same, which is what we do and evoked us to make a move in the direction.

Apart from that, legal communities and law enforcement agencies are burdened with workload which makes it difficult for them to make time for understanding technological complexities. Thus, we made it our objective to simplify technology for them, to an extent that understanding it comes naturally to them without technical proficiency required for day to day task assistance. The aim is to simplify technology, no matter how proficient a user is.

What was the biggest challenge faced yet achieved during the startup?

Debasish: At the time of startup, basically our aim was to formulate software applications innovative enough to maximize the potential of performing data recovery both; on cloud as well as on premise despite of the adversity and intensity of scenario. This proved as both; a challenge as well as an objective that we were determined to achieve (and we even did) because only a countable number of service providers (including the international market) offered cloud based collaboration and support in their services which we managed to achieve successfully with our cloud data migration solutions and digital forensics solution.

How do you quote SysTools Software as a contributor to Make in India?

Anuraag: With national and international clients, we have become a trusted name in the field of digital forensics service provider. Even the top Law Enforcement Agencies of India believe that, together we are giving a firm competition to the international market as well. This clearly makes us a suitable contributor to the extraordinary ‘Make in India’ program.

Debasish: As recalled by Anuraag, our association with one of the top Law Enforcement Agencies of India and their approval to our services makes us a special contributor to this special program that gloriously represents a technology driven future of India.
