Procedure to Move Outlook 2010, 2013 to Office 365 Safely

Steps to Migrate Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016 Data to Office 365

Step 1. Opt for Outlook as the source platform and Office 365 as the destination platform.

Step 2. Choose the categories you want to import into Office 365 under Workload Selection on the same screen.

Step 3. Utilize the Date-Range Filter option to specifically import mailbox data within certain dates. Then, proceed by clicking Next.

Step 4. Navigate to the Source screen. Specify the folder path containing the Outlook files. Organize files into folders named after the respective O365 account IDs:

Create folders in the root drive, such as E:/PST/[email protected]/ (for user1’s files)

Continue this pattern for each user, placing their local files in their respective folders. Select the folder “E:/PST/” as the Import Folder Path in our tool.

Step 5. Click on Validate to confirm permissions for the files. Post-validation, permissions will be granted to the source platform. Proceed by clicking Next.

Step 6. Enter the Office 365 admin account details and application ID for the destination. Validate the credentials. Once validated, permissions will be granted to the admin account. Click Next to proceed.

Step 7. On the Users screen, select the preferred method for adding users from the source account:

  • Fetch Users – Automatically retrieves users from the Source.
  • Import Users – Imports users via CSV.
  • Download Template – Downloads a CSV file template for user creation.

Choose the appropriate method for adding users.

Step 8. Displayed on the screen is a list of source users. Use the search option to find a specific mailbox and select the user for data import. Utilize the Show Selected toggle bar to view only the selected users, facilitating selective data import.

Step 9. Now, users need to add destination user accounts. You have two options:

  • User List Template: Offers a sample CSV file for manually adding source users.
  • Import Users: Imports users via CSV.
  • Download the template for adding destination users.

Step 10. Click Validate to authorize the selected source and destination user accounts. Once validated, click the “OK” button.

Step 11. Users can set priorities for the import task. Select accounts based on priority as indicated in the image.
