Steps to Migrate Lotus Notes to Office 365

Simple Steps to Migrate Lotus Notes Client to the Office 365 account using the Windows 10 Operating System

Application Pre-Requisites

  • Lotus Notes Client must be installed and configured properly and should be Offline/not connected with Domino server.
  • Admin account of Office 365 must have Office 365 license assigned, you must be able to access OWA for admin.
  • Admin account of Office 365 must be impersonated
  • If you are using Windows 10/8.1/8/7 or Vista, then please launch the tool as "Run as Administrator".
STEP 1

Launch the “SysTools Lotus Notes to Office 365” software. The user interface of the software is as follows:




STEP 2

Click on the “Add file(s)” button to add NSF files into the software.




STEP 3

Navigate and select the NSF file to add to the software, as follows:




STEP 4

Once the file has been selected, Provide the Lotus Notes client password as follows:




STEP 5

Select the Names.nsf file clicking on the browse button as follows:



Navigate and select the required file as follows:



The file will be added as follows:




STEP 6

The data can also be accessed through the Domino Server. Provide the Credentials for the Domino Server as follows:



Click on the "Login" button.

The software will attempt to connect to the Domino Server application:



All the files will be displayed as follows, You can select the specific files as follows:



Click on the "Next" button.


STEP 7

Now the "Office 365" radio button will be selected automatically, As follows:

Select the checkbox corresponding to the "Maintain folder hierarchy" label inorder to maintain the folder hierarchy of the software.




STEP 8

Select the "With Impersonation" radio button.

Provide the Admin user ID and Password and Click on the "Login" button.

The software will authenticate the credentials as follows:

Provide the Office 365 User ID & Authentication will be done at the same time:

Select the checkbox corresponding to the "Mail" label.

click on the Apply filter(s) filters radio button & click on the "Set" button.

Provide the date filter as follows:

Select the checkbox corresponding to the "Contacts" label.

Click on the Exclude Duplicate Contacts filters radio button & click on the "Set" button.

Provide the specific fields on the basis of which the contacts are to be filtered:

Select the checkbox corresponding to the "Calendars" label.

click on the Apply filter(s) filters radio button and click on the "Set" button.

Provide the date filter as follows:

Select the checkbox corresponding to the "Tasks" label.

click on the Apply filter(s) filters radio button & click on the "Set" button.

STEP 12

Now, select the checkbox corresponding to Apply Advance settings label & click on the corresponding settings... button.

The following options would be available for the advance settings.

Now choose the Advanced Settings for successful Lotus Notes migration.

HTML Formatting - This option lets you maintain all HTML formatting of emails during the process of its conversion.

Internet Header – This option maintain the sent or received email header.

Remove Encryption - This option let you remove the encryption of mails.

All Documents – Allow all document view mail items to be migrated into PST.

Doclink – Allow to maintain Doclink of mails.


STEP 13

To convert the canonical name, that you have defined in Lotus Notes, into the Office 365 SMTP format, then select the required naming convention:

Then enter the domain name for the SMTP translation with respect to the canonical name.

You can also map the Lotus Notes default generated folder with your Office 365 default folder name.

You can also include a particular folder for the export process.

Now, Back to the previous menu click on the "Export" button.

The software will start the Export process as shown below:

The export process will be completed successfully as follows:

Click on the "OK" button.

Yearly: Shows the reccurences showing Yearly reccurences.

Weekly: Shows the reccurences showing Weekly reccurences.
