  • The link to the document in Outlook opens to a personal Google account. You cannot see the document or receive a permission error even though the access is granted. This is because you logged into multiple Google accounts in the same browser. Switch to the correct Google account, open the link in incognito, or log out of unnecessary accounts.
  • Outlook warns you that the link may be unsafe or be careful with external links. The reason is that for Microsoft, the Google Docs link is an external URL, and some organizations have strict email security filters that flag this issue. So, confirm that it is a trusted sender.
