How to Wipe Data – Know Working of Data Wipe Tool

STEP 2

At first, Click on the Drive Tab to select the particular Drive that you want to sanitize.

Next, Choose the Volume (C:, D:, E:, F:) to you want to erase and click on Next button.

Then, pick the desired wiping method (simple methods, standard methods, and complex methods).

Click on Wipe button to initiate the wiping process.

On the Next Window, just click on Yes to proceed.

Wait till the Wiping Method in progress.

Once the wiping process is done, click OK.

After this, you will be directed to the Resulting report created by the Data Wipe Tool.

Note: If you forgot to save the PDF report, don't worry! You can always access it by navigating to: C:\ProgramData\SysTools Data Wipe\Report

STEP 2

Choose Pen Drive option to sanitize it. Make sure the USB drive is connected to the system, so that the Data Wipe tool can detect it.

Select the desired Pendrive, you want to erase. Then, click on Next button.

After that, pick the right Wiping Method of your choice.

Next, click on Wipe button to initiate the wiping process.

Next, a pop-up Window will appear saying - "All Data will be wiped permanently. Do you want to proceed?" Just click on "Yes" button.

Wait till the wiping process is in progress.

Click on Ok button after the wiping process is successfully completed.

Lastly, the tool will generate a report of the wiping process.

First, click on File/Folder button to add the file(s)/ folder(s) to the software.

Click on Select Folder or Select File and then browse to desired file/ folder source location to wipe.

Then click on Select Folder or Select File button to add file in the software.

Click on Next to initiate the file scanning process.

As soon as the scanning process completes, you can "Select" the Data Wipe Methods.

There are several methods to wipe the data i.e, less pass means take less time and more pass take more time, Choose according to your need.

Once you selected the Wipe method, click on Wipe.

The warning pop shown which is about the deletion of folder, click Yes.

Note: The wiped data will not be recovered anymore.

The Wiping process has been started.

The pop-up shown for the successfully completed wipe process, click Ok.

After this, the tool will generate a complete report on Details of deleted folder.
