Steps to Convert Outlook Express DBX Files in Mac

SIMPLE CONVERSION

The DBX file conversion steps are very easy, select the DBX file only and follow Next-3 Approach. Selected file will be converted completely within minutes.

STEP 1

Download & Install the tool. After opening it, click Add File(s) to select individual DBX files or Add Folder(s) to add a folder containing DBX files.

STEP 2

Select the required DBX file/folder from your system and click Choose to add it.

The selected DBX file appears with its file path and size. Use Remove to delete a selected file or Remove All to clear the list if you have accidentally added any file(s)/folder(s).

Once all the file(s)/folder(s) have been addedd successfully, click Next to continue.

Choose Export Options

STEP 5

Export as PST Format

Select the required Export Type as PST.

Click Advance Settings to configure additional PST export options, including Set Split/Merge PST and Date Filter.

STEP 7

In Advanced Settings, enable Create Single PST File to save all data in one PST file.

Enable Split PST Option and specify the required file size. Select the size unit as MB or GB to split the PST file accordingly.

Enable the Date Filter option and select the required From and To dates. The filter is applied based on the Mail Sent Date.

Once all the settings are done, click on the Save button to proceed further.

STEP 8

Keep Maintain Folder Hierarchy enabled to preserve the original folder structure while converting DBX files to PST.

STEP 9

Click Change to select the destination folder for saving the converted PST file. Choose the required location and click OK.

After selecting the destination path, click Export to start converting the DBX files to PST.

STEP 11

The export process is now in progress. The Export Status column shows the current conversion status of the selected DBX file.

STEP 12

Once the export is completed, a message pops up. Click OK to close the confirmation message.

STEP 13

After successful conversion, review the Mail Count, Fail Count, and Export Status.

Upon clicking the View Report button, you will be navigated to the destination path where the converted PST file and Export Report are saved.

Open the Export Report to verify the source file path, destination path, mail count, fail count, and export status of the converted PST file.

STEP 5

Export as PDF Format

Select the required Export Type as PDF.

Click Advance Settings to configure PDF options such as page setup, attachments, date filter, naming convention, and single PDF creation.

Select the required Naming Convention Separator such as Underscore, Plus, or Hyphen to define the naming format for exported PDF files.

Choose the required Naming Convention from the available options, such as Subject, Subject_Date, or Date_Subject, to define the PDF file naming format.

Set the Date Filter by selecting the required From and To dates. The filter is applied based on the Mail Sent Date.

You can enable Include Internet Message Header to include the message header details in the PDF. You can also choose to select Create single PDF file to save the emails in a single PDF, with attachments saved separately.

Under Page Layout, set the required Top, Bottom, Left, and Right Margins. Choose the Paper Orientation as Portrait or Landscape and select the required Page Size.

Enable Bates Number Format and enter the Start Number and Increment By values. Select the required Position to place the Bates number on the PDF.

Enable Date Stamp to add the date to the PDF. Select the required Position and choose a preferred Format for displaying the date.

Choose how to handle attachments using Attachment On Pin, Append Attachment, or Save Attachment.

Select Save Attachment to save attachments in their original file format. Choose the required Naming Convention for Attachment and enable Create Folder for Attachment According To Naming Convention if required.

Once all the settings are done, click on the Save button.

STEP 8

Keep Maintain Folder Hierarchy selected to preserve the original folder structure while exporting DBX files to PDF.

STEP 9

Click Change to select the destination folder for saving the converted PDF files. Choose the required location and click OK.

After selecting the destination path, click Export to start converting the DBX files to PDF.

The export process is now in progress. The Export Status column shows the current conversion status of the selected DBX file.

Once the export is completed, a message pops up. Click OK to close the confirmation message.

After successful conversion, review the Mail Count, Fail Count, and Export Status.

Select the required Export Type as MSG.

Select the required Export Type as CSV.

Enable the Date Filter and select the required From and To dates to export emails within the specified date range.

Once the date filters have been applied, click on the Save button to proceed further.

Click Change to select the destination folder for saving the converted CSV files. Choose the required location and click OK.

Print DBX File

Select the required Export Type as print.

Click Advance Settings to configure options such as Bates Numbering, Page Setup, Attachment Settings, Internet Message Header, and Date Filter.

Choose the required Naming Convention Separator such as Underscore, Plus, or Hyphen to define the MHT file naming format.

Choose the required Naming Convention to define the MHT file name using options such as Subject, Subject_Date, or Date_Subject.

Enable the Date Filter and select the required From and To dates to export MHT files within the specified date range.

Enable Include Internet Message Header to add the message header details to the print output. Select Create single PDF file to save the emails as a single PDF with attachments stored separately.

Select the required Export Type as MBOX.

Click Advance Settings to apply the available Date Filter options.

Enable the Date Filter and select the required From and To dates to export MBOX files within the specified date range.

Click Change to select the destination folder for saving the converted MHT files. Choose the required location and click OK.

After applying the date filter, click Export to start converting the DBX files to MBOX.

The export process is in progress. Check the Export Status column to monitor the MBOX conversion.

Once the export is completed, a message pops up. Click OK to close the confirmation message.

Review the Mail Count, Fail Count, and Export Status to verify the MBOX conversion. Click View Report to check the export details.

The converted DBX file, along with the Export Report, is saved in the selected destination folder.
