Know How to Detect and Remove Duplicates in Excel File on Mac Machine

STEP 1

Download and Run the SysTools Mac Excel Duplicates Remover Tool on your Mac Machine.

Then, upload the Excel File through "Add File or Add Folder" option.

You can also delete unwanted uploaded file through "Remove and Remove All" button.

After clicking on the "Add Files" button, select Excel files and hit the Open button to import the data files in it.

Now, preview all the Excel Files before starting the deduplication process.

If the file uploaded contains the Header section, you can Enable the Is Excel File Includes Header option given in the left-corner and if not, you can Disable it as well.

Note: The "Excel File Includes Header" feature, treats the first row, i.e., column names, as headers and not as data. So, it is skipped during duplicate detection and removal process.

STEP 5

The tool provides Dual Options to remove dupicates such as Within File & Across Files.

Within File: Through this option, you can clean the Excel Duplicates from a specific files.

Across Files: With this option, you can compare multiple Excel files and detect redundant data across them.

Now you can choose the option of Delete Permanently or Export Duplicate in Another File feature to clean the Excel file.

Delete Permanently: Through this option you can permanently delete the duplicates from your Excel file.

Export it in a Seperate File: After choosing this option, you can export the Duplicate data in a seperate Excel file.

Now, select the Remove Duplicates based on Specific Columns or Entire Row option.

Specific Columns: This feature finds and removes duplicate records based only on the selected columns, while keeping unique values in other columns intact.

Entire Row: This mode identifies and removes duplicate records only when all column values in a row are exactly the same.

Then, during the process of deduplication, select the Destination Path to save the cleaned Excel File.

At last, tap on the Remove Duplicates option to begin the deduplication procedure.

Here, you will get a message that duplicate removal completed successfully. Hit the "OK" button.

STEP 11

Then, a live report will be displayed in your screen. If you want to get detailed analysis tap on the View Report button.

At last, open the Saved Duplicate Removal Report containing complete process data.
