So you want to change email accounts, and that’s why you are looking for a way to migrate Yahoo Mail to Zoho. I have made the switch pretty recently, where I transferred all of my Yahoo email data to a new Zoho account.

Initially, I was in a similar position as you are now. Doubtful about whether it’s even possible. If so, is there any risk of me losing my email data? Which is the safest method?

Don’t worry, you need not repeat the intensive search, as I have filtered out all the methods and combined them into this ultimate guide. Just go through the text and understand why, despite the presence of a manual method, it’s recommended that you choose the tool.

Without further ado, let’s begin by listing all possible reasons for making the switch.

Why I Migrated My Yahoo Mail to Zoho and So Should You

Being a former Yahoo user, I am aware of all the problems that present Yahoo users face. The continuous ad spam right within my mailbox was a pretty big reason to leave Yahoo.

Yet I choose to keep a @yahoo.com address because no other email provider gives as much storage in its free tier as Yahoo. However, in a recent change, Yahoo Mail’s storage limit was reduced by a whopping 98% from 2TB to just 20GB.

Due to this severe change, I decided to ditch my Yahoo address and adopt something that had enough storage for my needs but, above all, did not show ads in my inbox.

Zoho became the obvious choice, thanks to its privacy-first approach; it quickly became my favorite to date. So much so that now I even recommend users to think about a Gmail to Zoho migration.

If you also want to enjoy a user-first experience free of bloat and ads, choose Zoho. Now that you want to move your Yahoo emails to Zoho, the question becomes, what is the process? Don’t worry, I have got you covered.

Forward Yahoo Mail Data to Zoho Account

Before you learn how to migrate Yahoo Mail to Zoho, make sure that the destination is ready to accept. So start by making a new Zoho account if you still don’t have one.
After that, the next prerequisite you need to complete is to make a Yahoo account part of the trusted list in Zoho.

  • To do that, log in to Zoho and click on the Settings Cog (You will find it on the right side tool ribbon)
  • Inside the settings, look for Anti Spam > Email address, then add your Yahoo email ID in both the Allowed List and Trusted List zones.
  • Now, go back to your Yahoo account.
    Select any email
  • Look for the Forward icon (an arrow pointing right), and click it.
  • In the email draft, enter your Zoho address click Send
  • Repeat.

Note, this is a fully manual process, and you can only forward one email at a time. Yahoo has an auto-forward feature, but it is restricted to premium accounts.

I have covered many other methods in my Gmail to Zoho migration guide. You can check them out if you want to. Or instead, directly choose the best possible method.
