Transfer Bell Email to Outlook with a Quick & Easy Guide
Tired of email hiccups in your Bell mail account. I too was dealing with the same problems, but all of it was gone after I decided to transfer my Bell email to Outlook. You need not spend too much time in trial and error, and can learn from my experience on what to do and what to avoid while moving all of your @bell.ca emails to an @outlook.com account.
Let us do a quick feature set comparison to convince ourselves that shifting to an Outlook platform is the right choice.
Why Transfer Bell Email to Outlook?
Here is a one-on-one comparison chart of the two email services that showcases both what Bell Mail lags and what makes Outlook a superior choice over it.

| Ecosystem | Standalone Service | Integrated with Microsoft 365 |
| Rules Engine | Basic Filters | Advanced Rules and Quick Steps |

Forward Bell Emails to Outlook Account
- Step 1. Sign in to the Bell.ca account.
- Step 2. Open an email you wish to shift.
- Step 3. Look for an arrow-like icon and click it.
- Step 4. A new mail draft is made. Type your Outlook address and press send.
- Step 5. Repeat for the rest of the emails.
But forwarding existing emails is not enough, and you wouldn’t want to repeat the process every time a new email arrives in your bell.ca mailbox. So instead, what you can do i use Bell Mail’s auto forwarding feature and let the server handle all future mail transfer for you.
To manage mail forwarding:
- Step 1. Start by logging in to your Bell Mail account and clicking the Gear icon (look at the top right corner of your screen)
- Step 2. A menu opens on the left side there select Mail
- Step 3. Then, scroll down and look for the Mail Forwarding option.
- Step 4. Toggle the Enable Forwarding switch to activate it.
- Step 5. Choose the “Forward and keep a copy of the email” option. You may also keep the box unchecked, and that would directly forward without storing a copy.
- Step 6. Add the @outlook.com address where you want all the bell.ca emails to arrive from now onwards. (Note: Although you can have up to 10 different email IDs in the list, I recommend that you only use one to keep the Bell Email to Outlook transfer as simple as possible.)
- Step 7. Finally, hit Save.
However, keep in mind this will only continue to work as long as you keep a Bell ISP subscription.

The moment you switch to a different service (as is the most likely scenario, considering you’re migrating all Bellmail to Outlook), all of the forwarding rule ceases to work.
Add Bell Email Account in Outlook Client
- Another way to manually migrate is by setting up both your Bell and Outlook ID inside an email client like Thunderbird or Outlook.
- Then drag and drop emails from your Bell mail to your Outlook account.
- Keep doing this till you shift all of your emails
Although these two methods work, they are not recommended for the sole reason of being time-consuming.
