- Go to the Takeout webpage in your browser and sign in to the account.
- If you want to have selective Google data, click on the Deselect all button.

- At the bottom, click on the Next Step.
- Now, choose the delivery method, file type, and file size.
- After that, click on the Start button to begin exporting the file.
Once it completes the process, you will receive an email that contains a link to download the file. After downloading the file, extract the files, and now you will get an MBOX file, which I am going to move to my personal Google account.
Get Takeout Files to Personal Google Account
Unfortunately, you cannot directly import the Google Takeout files to the Google account. As I have an MBOX file, I can use Thunderbird to move the files. Here, I am going to import the Google Takeout file to Thunderbird and then move the data to the new account. To start the process, first import the file into the program.
- To import the file, you must have the Import/Export Tools NG add-on.
- Choose a folder where you want your data stored. Then, right-click it.
- Click on the import/export add-in. Then, select the import or open mbox file.
- Browse the location where the Takeout file is located and open it in the program.
- Now, I am going to connect my Thunderbird to a new account.
- Go to the three bars at the top right corner and click on Account Settings.
- Select the Account Action button and then click on Add a mail account.
- Provide the details of your personal Google account and connect it.
- After you configure your account, go to the folder where your file is located.
- Move it to the configured account, and your data will automatically sync with your account.
This method will work if you are using a personal Google account. But if you want to import the Google Takeout data into a G Suite account. This next option will be used.
Import Google Takeout to G Suite Account
