SysTools Word Password Recovery Tool offers two different recovery modes: Unkown Password (Brute Force Attack) and Partial Known Password (Mask Attack)

Select the Brute Force Attack option if you don't know the password.

After choosing “Unknown Password(Brute Force Attack)” select various options given below:

  • Include Capital letters (A-Z): Use this option when the password contains uppercase letters.
  • Include Small letters (a-z): Select this option when password contains lowercase letters.
  • Allow Numbers (0-9): Include digits like 1,2,3,4,5....and more.
  • Include Special Symbols (#,@,$,!,%): Choose this option if the password contains special symbols.
  • Include Space or Tab: This option is useful when there is any space or gap in password.
  • Enter Password Length: Use this option to define the minimum and maximum password length. The tool can recover passwords of up to 15 characters.

STEP 6

Click on the Recover button to begin the password recovery process.

A pop-up will appear, tap on the OK button to complete the process.

Finally, click on the Copy Password and open your locked .doc file easily.

Now, your Word document remains password-protected. Use the recovered password to unlock your MS Word (.doc) file.

If you know part of the password, choose Partial Known Password (Mask Attack)

After selecting the second option, choose the relevent options given below:

  • Add Capital letters (A-Z): Select this option when the password includes uppercase letters.
  • Use Lowercase letters (a-z): Apply this option when the password contains lowercase letters.
  • Enable Numbers (0-9): This include numerical numbers like 1,2,3,4,5....and more
  • Include Special Characters (#,@,$,!,%): Under this feature, all the special characters added in password can be selected.
  • Include Space/Tab Characters: This option is useful when there is any space or gap in password..
  • Set Password Length: Set the minimum and maximum password length for faster recovery. The tool can identify passwords up to 15 characters long.
  • Prefix & Suffix: In this option, user have to add somewords related to their password.

Now, select Recover button to begin the recovery process.

Again a pop-up will come on your screen, tap on the OK button complete the process.

Now, click on the Copy Password button to quickly access your .docx file in Microsoft Word.

Now, your MS Word document will need a password, and you need to enter the Recover Password to open the DOCX word file.
