The SysTools Mac ZIP Password Recovery tool provides two recovery modes: Unknown Password (Brute Force) and Partial Known Password (Mask).
Select the Unknown Password (Brute Force) mode if you do not remember the password or have no clues about it. You can also provide the requested details (optional) to help narrow the recovery process:

Selecting Unknown Password (Brute Force) instructs the software to perform a systematic and exhaustive search. Unlike dictionary attacks, which test a list of common words and phrases, the brute force method attempts every possible character combination within the specified parameters to recover the password.
Important Note: Select only those options you are confident about. Avoid providing uncertain information, as incorrect inputs may increase the password recovery time. For example, if the password is 1234, select only the relevant character set and length.
Documentation Tip: Providing accurate hints, such as limiting the maximum password length or excluding special characters when you know they were not used, can significantly reduce the recovery time.

After the ZIP password recovery process is complete, a pop-up displaying the recovered password will appear. Click the OK button to close it.

Finally, the recovered password will be displayed on the screen. Click the Copy Password button to copy it.

The SysTools Mac ZIP Password Recovery tool provides two recovery modes: Unknown Password (Brute Force) and Partial Known Password (Mask).
Select Partial Known Password (Mask) mode if you remember part of the password or have clues about its structure. Providing the known details helps narrow the search range and speeds up the password recovery process.

Partial Known Password (Mask) mode is ideal when you remember part of the password or its pattern but not the complete password. Instead of trying every possible combination, the software uses the information you provide to narrow the search range, helping recover the password more efficiently.
Important Note: Enter only the information you are confident about. Avoid providing uncertain details, as incorrect inputs may increase the password recovery time. For example: Sys@123.
Why Use It? Partial Known Password (Mask) mode is much faster than a standard Brute Force attack. By supplying known details, such as the password length, prefix, suffix, or character types, the software searches a much smaller range of possibilities, significantly reducing the recovery time.

After completing the ZIP password recovery process, a pop-up will appear, and choose the OK button.
