A Step by Step Guide to Convert Excel File Contacts into 6 Different File Formats
Using SysTools Mac Excel Contacts Converter Software

STEP 1

Launch SysTools Mac Excel Contacts Converter on your Mac machine and click on Add File(s) button to add contact Excel file from your system.

Navigate to the location where you have saved your Contacts Excel file to select the file. Click on Open button.

After adding the file, the software will load it and display the added Excel file in the software panel. It will also display the Selected File Path and File Size (in MB). Click Next

If you want to add more Excel files, then click onAdd File(s) button again and select the desired Excel file and click on Next to proceed.

Note: You can also remove the added file from the software. All you have to do is select the file and click on the Remove Button. Click on Remove All to remove all the added Excel Files from the software.

STEP 5

Export File as VCF Format

In order to convert your Excel contacts to vCard (VCF) file format, select the radio button adjacent to VCF. Now, you can customize resultant VCF using the following options provided by the software:

  • Create Single vCard Per File- If you want a single vCard as an output for all the added Excel files then, check this option. Contrarily, the software will create separate VCF files for all the browsed Excel files.
  • Select vCard Version- The software allows you to export your Excel contacts to three different vCard versions, supported by different email clients and devices. You can select the desired vCard version accordingly from vCard 2.1, vCard 3.0, vCard 4.0.
    Note: Select vCard v4.0 if you want to use the vCard output on your iCloud account.
  • Windows / Mac- If the resulting vCard is to be used later on the Windows platform, you must select the vCard Windows option. However, if you want to use the converted vCard on the Mac platform, select vCard Mac.
    Note: Choosing the Mac vCard file will allow you to map a large number of additional vCard fields that are only supported by Mac OS.

STEP 6

Choose the desired Excel file from Select File section and click on Select Excel Column tab to start mapping. Select Excel field.

Then, click on the Select vCard Column tab and select the respective vCard field here. Click Add.

Repeat the same step to map all the Excel Fields with vCard Fields and all the mapped Excel and vCard fields will be listed down in the software. If you have added multiple Excel files then, select every file individually from ‘Select File’ section and map its fields individually. Then, only the software will convert all the selected files.

Note: Click on the Map All button to auto-map all the Excel fields with VCF fields.

You Can Map Fields Like This:

  • First Name - First Name
  • Middle Name - Middle Name
  • Last Name - Last Name
  • Organization - Company Name
  • Work Address - Business Address City
  • Home Address – Home Address City

Note: If you have wrongly mapped a field, then, select that field and click the Remove button to eliminate the Excel file.

STEP 7

Click on Change Button to select the desired destination location for saving the output vCard file in your system.

After completing all the steps, hit the Export button to begin Export Contacts to vCard Conversion process.

STEP 9

Excel to vCard conversion will begin right after this. Once the process gets completed, ‘Export process completed successfully’ wizard will pop up. Click OK. Then, the software will display a complete conversion report along with File Path, Contact Count, Fail Count, and Export Status.

STEP 10

Click on View Report to check the saved Export Report that has full operation details like Source File Path, Destination File Path, Contact Count, Fail Count, and Export Status for each browsed Excel. Navigate to the location where you have saved the output files and check the converted vCard files.

Export File as PST Format

In order to export Excel contacts in PST file format, select the radio button adjacent to PST in Export Type section

Choose an Excel file from Select File section and click Select Excel Column tab to start mapping process. Select Excel field.

Then, click on Select PST Column tab and select respective PST fields here. Click Add.

Repeat the same steps to map all the Excel Fields with PST Fields. All the mapped Excel and PST fields will be listed down by the software. If you have added multiple Excel files then, select every file individually from ‘Select File’ section. After this, map its fields then only the software will convert all the added files.

Click Map All button to auto-map all the all the Excel fields with the PST fields.

STEP 7

Click Change to select the desired location for the resulting PST file. ClickOK

After finishing Excel conversion ‘Export process completed successfully’ message will be displayed. Click OK. The software will then show a complete operation report along with File Path, Contact Count, Fail Count, and Export Status.

Click View Report to check the saved Export Report that comprises the conversion details like Source File Path, Destination File Path, Contact Count, Fail Count, and Export Status for each browsed Excel files. Navigate to the location where you have saved the output files and check the PST file within respected folders.

Export File As MSG Format

In order to export Excel contacts in MSG file format, select the radio button corresponding toMSG in Export Type section

Choose one Excel file from Select File section and click on Select Excel Column tab to start mapping process. Select Excel field. Then, click on Select MSG Column tab and select respective MSG field here. Click Add.

Repeat the same steps to map all the Excel Fields with MSG Fields and all the mapped Excel and MSG fields will be listed down by the software. If you have added multiple Excel files then, select every file individually from Select File section and map its fields. After that only the software will convert all the added files.

By clicking on theChange button you can select a destination location for the resultant MSG file. Click on OK

Click on Export button to start Excel contacts to MSG conversion process.

After finishing the Excel conversion ‘Export process completed successfully’ message will be shown. Click OK. The software will display a complete conversion operation report along with File Path, Contact Count, Fail Count, and Export Status.

Click View Report to check the saved Export Report that has detailed operation details like Source File Path, Destination File Path, Contact Count, Fail Count, and Export Status for each browsed Excel. Navigate to the location where you have saved the output files and check the MSG file within the respected folders.

Export File as PDF Format

In order to export Excel contacts in PDF file format, select the radio button next to PDF in Export Type section

Here, the software provides you with the two different options to customize the resultant PDF:

  • Create Single PDF Per File:: By enabling this option, it will generate one PDF file for every Excel and all the contacts of that Excel File will be saved within that PDF. The contacts saved within this PDF will be listed as per Excel fields.

  • Enable Mapping:: This option will allow you to map Excel fields with PDF fields.

If you want to map Excel and PDF fields then, choose one Excel file from Select File section. Click Select Excel Column tab to start mapping process. Select an Excel field. Then, click on Select PDF Column tab and select respective PDF fields here. Now, click Add.

Repeat the same step to map all the Excel Fields with PDF Fields and all the mapped Excel and PDF fields will be listed down by the software. If you have added multiple Excel files then, select every file individually from Select File section and map its fields then only the software will convert all the added files.

After performing all the above mentioned steps, click Change and select a destination location for the resulting PDF file. Click on OK

In order to export Excel contacts in HTML file format, select the radio button next to HTML in Export Type section

Check and Enable Mapping option and choose one Excel file from Select File section and click Select Excel Column tab to start mapping process. Select an Excel field. Then, click on Select HTML Column tab and select the respective HTML field here. Click Add.

Note: Unchecking Enable Mapping option will generate multiple HTML files with same Excel fields.

Repeat the same step to map all the Excel Fields with HTML Fields and all the mapped Excel and HTML fields will be listed down by the software. If you have added multiple Excel files then, select every file individually from Select File section and map its fields then only the software will convert all the added files.

Note: Click Map All button to auto-map all the Excel fields with HTML fields.
