If you don’t know how to transfer Juno email to Gmail, start by forwarding emails. However, forwarding thousands of emails one by one isn’t feasible. That’s why I have come up with working strategies that I have used myself to help people transfer their ISP emails and bring them to Gmail.

Let’s look at what the default mail forwarding strategy was and why it fails.

Forward Mail from Juno to Gmail Account and Why I Avoid It

There are two types of forwarding: One is done on the already existing emails. The other is that you set up and let the Juno webmail do for you. I am talking about the auto-forwarding.

Before you begin, add your Juno address to Gmail contacts. This prevents Gmail’s spam filters from blocking the messages that come via the Juno account.

To Set up Mail Forwarding:

  • Step 1. Visit the Juno mail Message Center.
  • Step 2. Tap on Options, then pick General.
  • Step 3. Look for Mail Forwarding and toggle ON – Forward all my new email.
  • Step 4. You have the option to keep copies of the forwarded emails in your Juno Inbox; for that, hit the “Save all forwarded messages in my account” option. Or, choose Delete all forwarded messages from my account.
  • Step 5. Type the Gmail address to which you want your messages forwarded in the box.
  • Step 6. Click on Save when finished.

However, this won’t work on your existing messages.

Use Email Clients to Transfer Juno Email to Gmail

Download any free-to-use email client and set up both your Juno and Gmail ID there.

  • Step 1. Open both instances side-by-side.
  • Step 2. Then, drag and drop emails from Juno to Gmail.

That’s it. However, the lack of tracking and too much manual setup mean that this process isn’t for everyone.

Bring Juno Mail Data into Gmail Account via Import Option

  • Step 1. Open a Gmail account on any web browser.
  • Step 2. Hit the settings cog at the top right and select the “See all settings” option
  • Step 3. Then switch over to the Accounts and Import tab
  • Step 4. Click the Import Mail and Contacts
  • Step 5. After that, follow the on-screen instructions that appear in the small window.

Note, while filling in the server details, make sure you use the Juno POP data (pop.juno.com, 995)

Problems with this method

All or nothing type of transfer, you don’t get to apply any kind of Date Filter, so you have to wait for entire data to get transported. Moreover, after the transfer, you don’t get any reports that tell how the migration went. You have to check the results manually.

The SysTools IMAP Migration tool is by far the most optimal choice for anyone looking to transfer mail between two different email accounts.

Its UI is easy to understand with no scripts or code. With date filters and user-level filtering means migration becomes a piece of cake.
