Follow a Few Steps to Generate An App Password


STEP 1

Before generating the app password, you have to enable 2-step verification.

Go to your Google My Account


STEP 2

Then, Click "Security" tab

Go to the 2-Step Verification," to select App Passwords option

STEP 4

After that, scroll down and select an App Password option.

Note:- If the 'App Password' option is not showing, then please wait for some time (around 10 minutes or more) to get changes reflected on Gmail servers and then visit: https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords to create the app password.


STEP 5

Click on the Select app drop-down and choose Other (Custom Name) option.

STEP 6

Enter the Name of the application, say, SysTools Gmail Backup. Then, click on Generate option.

STEP 7

A window pops-up to your screen showing the App password. Save the password shown in the Yellow box somewhere at a known place. Click on Done button.

STEP 8

Now, use this password to login your account on the SysTools Gmail Backup application.

Login to your Gmail account and click the gear icon designated on the right side of the window.

Click “See all settings” from menu.

Click “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab showing somewhere in the middle of the screen.

STEP 12

Move to IMAP access setting & Enable IMAP if it is disable on you Gmail or G Suite account. then click on "Save Changes"
