Follow All Steps to Migrate IMAP to G Suite Account


        Pre-Requisites


Following are the Steps to Migrate IMAP to G Suite


Download and Launch the IMAP to G Suite Migrator.

In case, tool is not activated, see how to activate the product: Activation Steps

Tool provides the help section for the details about each migration mode. Click on "Help" button to view this section.

STEP 1

Now, Select IMAP as source & G Suite as destination.


STEP 2

Under the Workload Selection, you will see Email checkbox. Keep that checkbox enabled.


STEP 3

Date Filter Option is available in this tool to migrate only selective data from Source IMAP Server to G Suite.


STEP 4

Now, Select the IMAP Server as per your preference from the available options. Select Other if you operating on any different IMAP server.

Note: The IMAP Server URL and Port Number will be entered by the tool automatically if you will select G Suite / Zoho Mail or Office 365 as your IMAP Server. However, you need to enter these details in case if you choose Other IMAP Server.

Here, for example, we are selecting Office 365 as our Source IMAP server.


STEP 5

Click on the Validate Button to validate "Read User & Write Email Permissions"

If Permission validation gets failed, then check the IMAP setting for selected domain. IMAP Settings


STEP 6

Enter the Destination Admin Email ID, Service Acccount & Certificate File. Then Click on the Validate button to validate all permissions.


STEP 7

Once the permissions are Validated. Click on Next button.



STEP 8

In the Users screen, there are two ways in which you can Add Users from the source account that needs to be migrated.

Import Users: This will import users through CSV.

Download Template: In this option, you will get a sample CSV file in which you can add Source and Destination users manually.

Add the CSV file in the Import User Section & Click on Upload.



All Source & Destination accounts are mapped & imported successfully.



STEP 10

In this screen, you need to add the Source App Password for the desired accounts you want to migrate. Then Click on Validate button on the top right side.


STEP 11

Here, you can see the prompt screen that shows how many users are validated.


After that, you can see the green icons under source & destination permisison column.


STEP 12

Users can also filter out the selected users for migration and also allocate Priority if they have multiple user mailboxes and want to migrate some of them prior to others. Following that, click on the Start Migration button located at the top right corner.

STEP 13

You'll get a prompt screen saying "Migration Started Successfully".


Users can also Stop Migration if required while the migration is In Progress.

STEP 14

You can check the accounts with complete migration under Completed tab.


STEP 15

After completion of migration, click on the Download Report button to generate the detailed migration report.

The tool provides two options for downloading the reports:

Summary Report: The summary report will be a single .csv file containing migration reports of all the selected users for migration.

Detailed Report: Here, you get the option to save the detailed migration report of the mailboxes you want to. Select the mailbox and click on Download button.

STEP 16

Re-Run Migration option is also provided in order to perform the migration again.

  • Retry Failed Items: To migrate the data which was failed in first attempt.
  • Re-Run Full Migration: To perform the entire migration process again.
  • Delta Migration: To migrate the newly arrived data in between the migration process.
