Steps to View Maildir Files

Download & Install SysTools Maildir Viewer Tool . Then , Go to Start » All Programs » SysTools Maildir Viewer. The initial Window of Maildir Viewer will appear.

Select the folder consisting Maildir files from the left panel of the window. You can preview all the files on the right panel of the window.

Select the email which you want to preview within the software

You can make use of the two Switch View Option to preview Maildir Files : Horizontal View & Vertical View to ease out message preview experience as per convenience.

After scanning, the software loads the entire Maildir file items and you can preview it within interface. Select items that you want to view in the display pane with multiple view options such as Normal, Hex, Properties, Message Header View, MIME View, RTF and Attachments View respectively. You can view emails in normal view by clicking on "Normal Mail View" tab as shown on screen.

In order to view the attachments of any specific email, the simply select that mail and click on the "Attachments Tab" to view the attachment.

To view emails in Hex Format, Select "Hex View " Tab

Next, to view the properties of an email like Received date, sent date, email id's, recepient & Sender Details etc. Click on the "Properties View" and the screen will appear as shown.

To view Header Details like : To, From, Subject, Delivery Date , Content-Type etc., Choose "Message Header" tab

To view MIME Version & other Details Choose "MIME" tab

For HTML View Details , Choose "HTML" tab

You can also sort the emails in From, Subject, To (alphabetically) & according to Sent , Received Date & Size by Clicking on the Tab as shown below:

Go to File > Exit to Exit from Application Window.

Choose Yes to exit when aplication displays window with message "Are you sure you want to close the application".
