Simple Steps to Divide Large PST Files into Multiple Parts using the MAC PST Splitter Tool

STEP 1

Download and install the Mac PST Splitter on your system properly.

To import your large PST files/folders, this software offers two options: “Add Files” and “Add Folders”.

Select “Add Files/Folders” and locate the destination on the machine using the “Open” icon.

If you don’t know the location of your PST file, then you can use the “Search PST (Disk)” option.

You just have to select the folder, which contains your large data file and use the “Open” button.

Now the software will scan the folder and find your .pst files.

After complete scanning, the tool will appear all the existed PST file on the screen, you can select the required files and hit on the “Add Selected” option.

All your selected PST files will show on the panel, and you can use the “Remove / Remove All” option to remove unwanted PST files.

Click on the “Browse” button to select a saving location according to your needs. After selecting the destination path, use the “Next” button to continue the process.

All the data of your uploaded PST file will appear on the left panel of the software.

Choose Split By Options

STEP 7

Choose the “Split by Size” option, which allows you to split in MB, and GB. And you can split from 1 MB to 1024 GB easily.

After choosing this option, you have to enter the File Size accordingly into MB and GB.

Example: If you have upload 100 MB file and selected a 10 MB file, the software will create 10 separate PST files of 10 MB and click on the “Next” icon.

The “Set Password” option allows users to lock the output data file. You can set desired password and check the “Set Password to All PST Files” option to lock all your files. Hit the “Split” button to start the splitting process.

After completing the process, the software will show a pop-up and choose the “OK” button.

Choose the “Split by Date” option to split by the required Date range.

It gives you two different options to “Apply Split Value” like:

Select Date: You have to select a specific date with this option; after providing it tool will create two separate PST files. Selected date range data will move into the first PST file, and the rest of the data into the second data file.

Select Date Range (s): With this option, you can extract multiple data ranges at once. You have to provide Start and End Dates using the Add icon, and the tool will create a single PST file with a maintained folder structure.

Select the “Create Individual PST file for each Date Range” option to generate separate files according to your needs.

The “Set Password” option allows users to lock the output data file. You can set desired password and check the “Set Password to All PST Files” option to lock all your files. Hit the “Split” button to start the splitting process.

The PST Splitter by SysTools lets you split and extract emails from specific senders using the “Split by Sender” option.

Then, select the desired items such as Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Tasks, and Journal. You also have the option to exclude the Deleted Items and Junk folders from the final output files.

The software provides two ways to choose email addresses:

  • Fetch: Automatically retrieves all email addresses from your account.
  • Add CSV: Import a CSV file containing multiple email addresses and select the ones you need.
  • Email Options: Here, you can define how emails should be filtered. For example, if you select the “To” option, the software will extract only those emails where the chosen email address appears in the “To” field.
