In 70% cases, the issue will be resolved by deleting only corrupted or invalid cookies from the browser. For the same, in Chrome / Edge:

Open: chrome://settings/siteData
Search for:
- Outlook
- Microsoft
- Hotmail
- live.com

Delete all cookies for:

- outlook.com
- live.com
- microsoft.com

Restart the browser
Open: https://outlook.live.com

This forces Microsoft to create fresh authentication tokens, and you will get back access to your Hotmail inbox instantly.

#Method 2. Open Hotmail in Private / Incognito Mode

#Method 4. HTTP Error 400 Hotmail By Disabling Browser Extensions

Sometimes the error occurs not because of cookies, but because of browser extensions. To resolve it, temporarily close:

Ad blockers
VPNs
Privacy tools
Script injectors

On Windows, run:

ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset

- Press Enter, then type your Mac password.

Step 3. Restart network connection:

- Click the Wi-Fi icon
- Turn Wi-Fi OFF
- Wait 10 seconds
- Turn Wi-Fi ON

Or simply reboot the Mac.

After the DNS reset, access Hotmail correctly via https://outlook.live.com.

#Method 6. Try a Different Browser or Device

If Hotmail works elsewhere, then the issue is local to the original browser profile. So, it is suggested to open your Hotmail account on another device or browser.
