- Check the box “Keep a copy of forwarded messages” if you want the emails to remain in Microsoft 365.
- Press the Save button.
For security, some disable external forwarding. If you can’t see the Forwarding button, contact your IT administrator to enable the email forwarding option.
Set Up Microsoft 365 Emails in Professional Gmail Account
If you want to sync Office 365 with a professional Gmail account, then Google Workspace has a built-in migration tool that can help you. For this method, you must have a Google Workspace super administrator account. Also, administrator credentials for Microsoft 365. Here are the steps.
- First, log in to the Google Admin Console using the super administrator account.
- Then, click on Data >> Data import & export >> Data Migration option.
- If this is your first migration, click on the Set up data migration button.
- Choose Microsoft Exchange Online from the Migration source.
- Click on Auto for the connection protocol. Press the Connect button and sign in with a Microsoft 365 account using a global administrator account.
- Create a CSV file to add the source and destination ID of the user. Enter the details in the “Source Exchange Email” and “Target GUser columns”.
- Save the file and upload it.
- After that, choose the data you want to copy and provide a date range.
- Hit the Start button to begin the process.
- Update the DNS records after the migration process is completed.
