Now click on Scan option and you will be offered the choice for scanning three types of Files (EDB, OST & PST).
EDB - Exchange Server Mailbox
OST - Outlook Offline Data Files
PST - MS Outlook Data Files
Once you click on "Scan" option following screen will appear, which allows you to select one of the given options:
Select Filters Option
All Types of files will get recovered.
Select File Types: Only Selected file types will get recovered from .e01 image file.
Click on Browse option for selecting .e01 image file
Software provides you with 2 Options to select a File or Folder having .e01 image files.
File: Select single .e01 image file for scanning
Folder: Select folder having E01 files to scan.
After selecting .E01 file, click on Open option to quickly open the selected Encase Image file.
Software will quickly read .e01 file and show you all found files within the .e01 file in Windows Explorer style view. Check Screenshot on Left.
Software screen will display all the files found within the .e01 file and also lists email files as per your selection type i.e. OST, PST and EDB.
Search Tab is also present in the software, which offers multiple Filter Options.
Note : Search Tab is located in bottom left section of tool.
You can Search for specific email files by using options.
You can Filter your search results on the basis of Dates (Created, Modified, and Last Accessed) and can modify date interval using From & To Date selection options.
After locating your required email files in E01 image file, users can view File Information related to selected file such as File Name, File Path, Created Date, File Size etc.
Similarly, if you want to see the complete details of selected email file then simply select the file and software will show complete details of selected email data file.
For viewing the email message contents of selected files, user needs to click on "View Contents" option (Check Screenshot)
After clicking on "View Contents" option, software will automatically launch respective file viewer for same email file. You can scan the selected file as software has inbuilt multiple viewer for all three file types such as EDB Viewer, OST Viewer, PST Viewer. Each viewer will be displayed when user explores the respective file formats for viewing content of E01 file.
Now user can view the content of recovered file through its Viewer in two types: Normal Mail Message View & Attachments. Similarly users can select other email file formats found and can view email content using respective inbuilt viewer.
