How to Turn Off Two Step Verification for Gmail Account

Follow procedure to Disable 2-Step Verification from Gmail Sign-In & Security Settings

STEP 1

Sign to your Gmail Account & Go to Gmail Sign-In & Security Settings : https://myaccount.google.com/security

Then Google prompts with Login window . Enter valid "Login Password "

Then Enter valid "6-digit verification code" sent to mobile number you specified.

How to Generate App Password for Gmail Account

Follow procedure to Generate an Application Password For Gmail Sign-In & Security Settings

STEP 1

Sign in to Gmail account and go to Google account settings page: https://myaccount.google.com/security

Go to the Security division on the left panel

STEP 2

Scroll down to the Signing in to Google section. If the Two step verification is enabled, you will preview an option of App passwords. Click on App passwords otpion.

Enter your Gmail account password to Generate Application Password.

Click on the Select app drop-down and choose Other (Custom Name) option

STEP 5

Enter the Name of the application, say, SysTools Gmail Backup. Then, click on Generate option.

STEP 6

A window pops-up to your screen showing the App password. Save the password shown in the Yellow box somewhere at a known place. Click on Done button.

Now, use this password to login your account on the SysTools Gmail Backup application
