Steps for Google Drive to Google Drive Migration

Follow step by step guide to Transfer Data from one Google Drive to another account using SysTools Migrator.


        Pre-Requisites


Following are the Steps to Perform Google Drive to Google Drive Migration

STEP 1

STEP 1

Download and Launch the migration tool

STEP 2

From the software window, click on the "Setup" tab and select choose Source & Destination platform as G Suite.

STEP 3

In the same screen, select Documents to migrate from one Google Drive account to another Google Drive account under the Workload selection.

STEP 4

Using the Date Filter option you can perform the range based selective migration of the mailbox data. Click on Next.

  • Migrate Document Permissions: This option will allow you to pass the document level permission from the source to the destination user account.
  • User Group Mapping: This option allows to map the group mapping from source to destination

Move to the Source Screen now.

STEP 6

Provide the details like Admin Email and Service Account details carefully.

After this, upload Certificate File or the p12 file into the software panel and click on Validate to provide permissions to the user. Know the method to create project for G Suite. Source Google Cloud Console Project

STEP 7

After validating, the permissions will be granted to the source user. Click on Next.

Now, on moving to Destination. Provide the necessary details like Admin Email and Service Account.After this, upload Certificate File or the p12 file into the software panel. Now, click on Validate button to grant permissions. Hit the Next button. See how to create project for G Suite. Destination Google Cloud Console Project

STEP 9

On the Users screen, there are several ways in which you can add users from the source account that needs to be processed.

Fetch Users: It will get Users from Source domain.

Import Users: This will import users through CSV. users
Download Template: In this option, you will get a sample CSV file in which you can add source and destination users manually.

STEP 10

The list of users is now, displayed on the screen.

Import a Group mapping file which provides mapping between Source & Destination domain groups. Download a sample file using "Group Mapping Template" option.

You can select users on the basis of their Priority and view the Selected Users only.

STEP 11

Click on Validate to authorize selected user source and destination resources.

STEP 12

After the validation is successfully completed it will show against the Source and Destination permissions. After that, click on Start Migration to begin the migration process.

Users can also Stop Migration if required while the migration is In Progress

STEP 13

You can view the Migration Status in several formats.

  • List View

STEP 14

The successful migration status of the one Google Drive documents to another Google Drive will then be displayed on the software panel.

After successfully migrating, click on Download Report

You can also save the Detailed Report. Click on Download.

STEP 17

Re-Run Migration option is also provided in order to perform the migration again.

  • Retry Failed Items: To migrate the data which didn't get migrated.
  • Re-Run Full Migration: To perform the entire migration process again.
  • Delta Migration: To migrate the newly arrived data in between the migration process.
