  • #Step 1. Open the Microsoft Teams App on Windows, macOS, or the web.
  • #Step 2. At the bottom-left corner, click Join or create a team. This section also shows existing teams to join.
  • #Step 3. Click “Create team.” You will see two options:
    • Create a team from scratch
    • Create from an existing group or team
    • You can choose any option according to your requirements. But if you want to make a replica of an existing structure, then choose the second option.
  • #Step 4. Choose the Privacy Level. For the same, you will get three options:
    • Private – Only invited members can join.
    • Public – Anyone in the organisation can join
    • Org-wide – Automatically adds everyone.
  • #Step 5. Enter your team details:
    • Team name
    • Description (optional)
  • #Step 6. Add Members to the Team. You can add:
    • Individual users
    • Microsoft 365 groups

  • #Step 2. Select “Create from an existing group or team.”
  • #Step 3. Now, Teams will scan for groups that:
    • You own

  • Step 5. Click Create.”Now, Teams will automatically:
