Steps to Know How Mail Migration Wizard Works!

This is a step by step process to showcase how to perform bulk migration of Lotus Notes mailboxes to MS Office 365 or Exchange Server mailbox.

  • Lotus Notes Client must be installed and configured with Admin mailbox of Domino Server.
  • Microsoft Outlook must be installed and should be configured properly for any valid or dummy profile/account.
  • If you are using Windows 10/8.1/8/7 or Vista, then please launch the tool as "Run as Administrator".
  • You must have full admin permission on Domino mailboxes.
STEP 1

Launch the “SysTools Mail Migration wizard” software. The user interface of the software is as follows:

To connect to the Domino server, Provide the IP Adress & password for the same.

Click on the "Login" button.

Maintain Folder Hierarchy: Please check this folder structure in tact while the migration process is performed.

Apply the date filter & click on "Apply" button.

Click on the "Contact" radio button and click on th "Exclude Duplicate Contact" radio button. Click on the "Set" button.

Select the following parameters for which the contacts are to be exported:

Click on the "Apply Advance Options" Click on the "Settings" button .

HTML Formatting - This option lets you maintain all HTML formatting of emails during the process of its conversion.
Internet Header – This option maintain the sent or received email header.
Remove Encryption - This option let you remove the encryption of mails
All Documents – Allow all document view mail items to be migrated into PST.
Doclink – Allow to maintain Doclink of mails.

STEP 9

To convert the canonical name, that you have defined in Lotus Notes, into the Office 365 SMTP format, then select the required naming convention

Then enter the domain name for the SMTP translation with respect to the canonical name.

You can also upload a csv file for Email address translation containing all the email addresses for the same.

Then click on Apply to save all the Advanced settings

STEP 11

Split PST option is provided to split your large file according to Size. The file could be splitted into GB or MB.
You can also change the default saving location (after file conversion) by clicking on Change button

Maintain folder hierarchy: Checkmark the box in order to maintain the folder hierarchy for the export process.

Click on the "OK" button.

Select the "With Impersonation" radio button.

  • Admin account of Office 365 must be impersonated
