Resolution to Google Apps Email Alias Not Working

If you need to make emails sent to your email alias appear in your inbox, you should configure the email alias as an alternate email address/ email alias for sending emails to your Gmail account.
Gmail allows the users to send emails with their alternate email addresses listed as the sender instead of their primary Gmail address. This facility allows the users to manage multiple Gmail accounts from the single Gmail interface.

Note: Mail sent using email alias would only appear in the inbox, if you own the email account linked to the alternate addresses.

To send mail from a different Gmail username, you should first sign-up for that address.

How to send emails using email alias?

1. Sign-in to your Google Apps email account.
2. Click on Setting -> Account.
3. Go to Send mail as, click Add another email address.
4. Enter the name & alternate email address in Email address field.
5. Click Next Step -> Send Verification. Gmail will send you a verification email to your other email address to confirm that you are the owner of that account.
6. Click on the link provided in the email from Gmail or you could enter the confirmation code (present in the Accounts section of your Google Apps Email settings).
