Steps to Backup Amazon WorkMail Emails

The Step by Step Guide to Export WorkMail Account Emails to other file formats such as PST, EML, MBOX and MSG file formats using advanced filters.

Application Pre-Requisites

  • Disable the MFA for Amazon WorkMail account to access the application. Read More
  • Microsoft .NET framework 4.5 or above.
  • If you are using Window 10 / 8.1 / 8 / 7 or Vista, then please launch the tool as "Run as Administrator".

Work How to Backup Amazon Workmail Data for Windows

STEP 1

Launch the software from the installed location or Go to Start » All Programs » SysTools Amazon WorkMail Backup.

Select preferred language first. Add your Amazon WorkMail account by entering its respective email address and password and then click on the Login button.

* Note: SysTools Amazon WorkMail Backup offers Six languages (English, Spanish, German, Dutch, Portugese, and Japanese) Change accordingly.

Click on Activate tab and proceed with tool activation. Activation Steps

Start the Backup by Clicking on Backup Option: After logging in software provides dual options for backup; first is Options and second is Filter Options.
Choose preferred Email format to backup the Amazon WorkMail user account data.

  • Export as EML (RFC822 Standard)
  • Export as PST (Microsoft Outlook)
  • Export as MSG (Microsoft Outlook)
  • Export as MBOX (Apple Mail/Thunderbird)
  • Export as PDF

STEP 4

Select the radio button corresponding to "EML" labelled text.

Click on the "Browse" button to browse the final destination for the export process.

Navigate and select the destination and click on "OK" Button.

Now, The selected file will be displayed in the text box corresponding to the "Browse" button.

Click on Delete After Download button to remove the emails downloaded from the Amazon WorkMail account server.
A window Pops up asking Are you sure you want to delete the mails from server after download?

Click Yes to perform the local Amazon WorkMail emails archive process. After allowing, the option will be highlighted as below

Apply customized filters by clicking on the "Apply filters" button.

Provide the custom filters as per which the backup for the Amazon WorkMail account can be created.

  • Select Folders: Include the folders that can included for backup creation.
  • E-mail Filter: This includes the date filter including the from and to constraints to define the start and end date respectively.

Choose "Incremental Backup" to backup Amazon WorkMail data , which are not downloaded in previous processes, if you are taking backup on the same machine.

For Incremental backup, make sure the backup machine should be same.
