We use the signature email forensics software (MailXaminer from SysTools) in a 100% practical demonstration method of learning.

Quote from India’s Cyber Expert on Cyber Forensics Training:

Sharing his insights about Cyber Forensics training & services, Anuraag Singh was quoted as saying “While the Digital Forensics training module can be vast & deep as the ocean. However, in our time-bound sessions, we focus to cover the most important lessons of evidence examination like legal aspects of submitting digital forensics evidence examination reports in a court of law, challenges in handling iOS & Android devices, limitations in Computer Forensics, the importance of Chain of Custody, understanding section 65B in the Indian Evidence Act 1872 & its relevance, etc. Learning will be highly helpful to the officers in dealing with Digital Evidence in a professional way. They will see the difference next time when they are in action”

How Digital Forensics Training can Help in Cyber Investigations?

Team SysTools has provided online sessions & workshops about Computer & Mobile Forensics for a long time to various LEAs & Investigation units. During the Pandemic phase, the demand for online training reached its peak. The expert trainers from SysTools engaged proficiently with IRS, IPS & IAS Officers of various departments & secret agencies in India.

Till date, we also conducted various workshops officer-level awareness camps, training sessions & knowledge courses. All were in coordination with MHA & Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance in order to enrich technical understanding of evidence handling.

It has become crucial for Govt officials and tax authorities to equip themselves with adequate knowledge to deal with it. There is high volume of sensitive information available in multiple digital formats. Following the vision of Cyber expert Anuraag Singh, to upgrade Indian Investigation System to be Cyber Smart. Moreover, team SysTools have always been supportive to concerned ministries of GOI in imparting technical education to the officers in charge.

Significance of Cyber Awareness & Digital Forensics Training for NADT Officers

We developed the training modules with valuable inputs to educate the officers. Who is responsible for performing Digital Evidence examinations while conducting surveys, searches & scrutiny.  During the confiscation process along with books of accounts, other paper documents, money, ingot, jewelry, other valuable articles, Digital Storage devices also will seize. And thus it is very important for an Investigating Officer (IO) to know how to handle digital evidence professionally.

Its main goal is to provide officers with a diverse range of approaches for performing safe, error-free cyber forensics practices. As digital evidence is volatile and fragile, any improper handling of this evidence can alter it. We introduced professional tools & techniques for proper data gathering from storage devices to avoid such data disasters. And further made hands-on to the officers.

As a result of technological advancement in all sectors of life, the traditional accounting & money laundering methods also evolved to a great extent.  To be at par with the changing landscape of digital transactions & digital storage practices, a proper course module on  ‘Forensic Accounting and Techniques of Investigation using Digital Forensics Tools has been developed by SysTools.

With This in Mind

By helping to understand the necessary concepts, techniques, standard principles, and other tips, the aim is to lay down a solid foundation about safe & smart methods to perform the Digital Evidence Examination process. The National Academy of Direct Taxes is one recent name to highlight. But SysTools is all roped in to train investigating officers of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Serious Fraud Investigation Office, Enforcement Directorate, and Income Tax amongst other LEA & governmental organizations to list. Attending such knowledge-sharing training sessions will help officers in dissuading money laundering cases. Moreover, it will also help in uncovering financial fraud activities in an effective way.
