Steps to Extract Data from VHDX File

Follow the mentioned steps to preview & Extract all VHDX file data in Native Format

STEP 1

Go to Start » All Programs » SysTools VHDX Viewer Pro

STEP 2

Click on the "Open" button to view the necessary VHDX files.

Then Choose from Following Scan Type Options :

  • Quick : Enable users to recover Normal deleted or Permanently Deleted VHDX File Items
  • Advanced : Enable users to recover VHDX File items from Formatted VHDX Partitions
  • Recover Deleted Partition : Enable users to recover Deleted VHDX File Partitions & its data items

STEP 3

Select the VHDX file which you want to open in the software.

Choose from different scanning options : Quick or Advanced scanning mode provided by the tool. Check "Recover Deleted Partition" option to recover data from deleted Partitions of VHDX File.

A window is prompted "Scanning of selected file done successfully. Do you want to save scan ?" . Choose Yes if you need to save scan for next time.

Double click on any file after that software will gives Save and Preview option.

Now view the file properties in the application panel.

Afer that preview the image in the tool panel.

Also preview the hex value in the hard drive recovery software panel.

STEP 6

Hit Filter button and tool will list all categories (Photos, Audios, Videos, Emails, Databases, Documents, Archives, Executable).

Choose Filter option and view files. Suppose if users want to restore only documents then choose documents filter option. It will enable to restore only documents from retrieved data. Moreover it also gives total item count.

The file will be scanned and added to the software & data can be viewed on the software user interface as follows:

Note: The deleted data will be shown in the red text label as shown below:

Select all files or selective files that you need to save & Choose "Save selected" button on th top right corner of the screen.

Choose Destination Location to save VHDX File data as shown below & Click on "OK"

A message is prompted displaying "Export is completed successfully"

You can now preview the data extracted from VHDX File in destination location.

Search & Save VHDX Data Item

STEP 12

Select Search Tab from bottom left riboon on the screen. Within the Search bar Type file name , file type or Filter by date (according to Created, modified & last Access Date) that you need to export

Then Choose Save Selected File & extract to destination Location

In destination location, you can successfully preview extracted VHDX File data after search.

STEP 3

Select the VHDX file with formatted partition which you want to open in the software.

Choose from different scanning options : Quick or Advanced scanning mode provided by the tool.

A window is prompted "Scanning of selected file done successfully. Do you want to save scan ?" . Choose Yes if you need to save scan for next time.

The file will be scanned and added to the software & data can be viewed on the software user interface as shown below. Select all files or selective files that you need to save & Choose "Save selected" button on the top right corner of the screen.

Note: The formatted VHDX data items will be shown in the red text label as shown below:

You can now preview the data extracted from VHDX File in destination location.

Search & Save VHDX Data Item

STEP 10

Select Search Tab from bottom left riboon on the screen. Within the Search bar Type file name , file type or Filter by date (according to Created, modified & last Access Date) that you need to export

Then Choose Save Selected File & extract to destination Location

In destination location, you can successfully preview extracted VHDX File data after search.

STEP 3

Select the VHDX file with deleted partition which you want to open in the software.

Choose from different scanning options : Quick or Advanced scanning mode provided by the tool. Check "Recover Deleted Partition" option to recover data from deleted Partitions of VHDX File.

A window is prompted "Scanning of selected file done successfully. Do you want to save scan ?" . Choose Yes if you need to save scan for next time.

The file will be scanned and added to the software & Deleted Partition can be viewed in red label within the software interface as follows:

Click on the deleted partition to preview the data before saving
