Exchange Impersonation

Steps to set Impersonation Rights for Live Exchange user account for Exchange 2013, 2016 and 2019.

The following procedure is only supported for Exchange 2019, 2016 and 2013. If you want to set impersonation rights in Exchange Server 2010, then please click here.
STEP 1

Login to Exchange Admin Center.

Expand “Roles” dropdown and click on “Admin roles” option.

Under the Admin roles section, navigate to “Discovery Management” option and click on it.

Click on “Permissions” option to assign required permissions.

You can use the search option to find “ApplicationImpersonation” and “Mailbox Import Export” Permission. Enable the checkbox adjacent to these permissions.

Now come to the assigned tab and click on “Add” button to assign these permissions to admin.
