Steps for O365 In-Place Archive to O365 In-Place Archive Migration

Follow step by step guide to Transfer Data from Office 365 In-Place Archive to Office 365 In-Place Archive using SysTools Migrator.

        Pre-Requisites

Following are the Steps to Perform Office 365 In-Place Archive to Office 365 In-Place Archive Migration

STEP 1

If your tool is not activated, then see the activation steps here. Activation Steps

Tool provides the help section for the details about each migration mode. Click on "Help" button to view this section.

To enable advance settings for Concurrent migration (optional). Read more: Advance Settings


STEP 2

Select “Office 365 Archive” as a source platform and “Office 365 Archive” as destination platform.

STEP 3

In the same screen, select the categories that you want to migrate from Office 365 Archive to Office 365 Archive under the Workload selection.

STEP 4

Using the Date Filter option you can perform the date based selective migration of the mailbox data. Click on Next.

Move to the Source Screen now.

STEP 6

Provide the Admin Email and Application ID carefully.

After this, click on Validate to provide permissions to the software.

STEP 7

After validating, the permissions will be granted to the source user. Click on Next.

Now click on Destination. Provide Admin Email and Application ID. Click on Validate for permission validation. Hit the Next button.

STEP 9

On the Users screen, there are several ways in which you can add users from the source account that needs to be processed.

Fetch Users: It will get Users from Source domain.

Import Users: This will import users through CSV.

Download Template: This is the sample CSV file to undertand the formatting of the file to be imported using "Import Users" option.

STEP 10

The list of users is now displayed on the screen.

You can select users on the basis of their Priority and view the Selected Users only.

STEP 11

Click on Validate to authorize selected user source and destination resources.

Users must be assigned with In-Place archive mailbox by Office 365 admin for successful validation. If the In-Place archive mailbox is not enabled, then the validation will fail.

STEP 12

After the validation is successfully completed, click on Start Migration.

Users can also Stop Migration if required while the migration is In Progress

STEP 13

You can view the Migration Status in multiple formats.

  • List View

STEP 14

The successful migration status will then be displayed on the software panel.

After successfully migration, click on Download Report

There are two migration reports. If you chose 'Summary Report', select the location to save the report file.

The overall summary of the migration will be given in the form of a report

STEP 16

If you click on the 'Detailed Report' button, you can select all the users whose specific report you want to save.

STEP 17

Re-Run Migration option is also provided in order to perform the migration again.

  • Retry Failed Items: To migrate the data which didn't get migrated.
  • Re-Run Full Migration: To perform the entire migration process again.
  • Delta Migration: To migrate the newly arrived data in between the migration process
